From early entrepreneurship to award-winning design, my professional journey began when I opted to write a business plan instead of joining my friends at university, becoming the youngest-ever recipient of the grant to which I'd applied. I loved everything about building a business, from crafting the brand identity to designing the shop's layout and fixtures, but shopkeeping wasn't for me, and although I sold Revolution Records after repaying the grant, I've never lost that entrepreneurial spark.

I studied Design Art at Concordia University in Montreal, a programme emphasising social and environmental responsibility and began my design career working with then-emerging Scandinavian fashion brands Acne and Nudie Jeans before expanding into editorial design and then international award-winning art direction for luxury brand clients, including Fairmont Hotels, Mercedes-Benz, and Bombardier private jets.

Whilst I enjoyed my career, it wasn't until I pivoted to product design that things really clicked for me. The intersection of art, commerce, and problem-solving rekindled the joy I'd experienced building that business so many years ago. It fuelled a career shaping the vision and strategy for everything from global institutions like Samsung to disruptive start-ups like Beauty Pie.

My favourite thing about working in this capacity is the continuous learning it offers. It's a field that encourages and rewards curiosity. I'm always learning more about how people interact with products, understanding their behaviours or getting to grips with industry intricacies and business operations. Every day and project presents a fresh, exciting challenge that keeps me engaged and evolving.

In my spare time, I can usually be found working on one of my many writing projects, spending time with my dog-pal Laika in Victoria Park, East London, or entering The New Yorker cartoon caption contest.
